South Africa’s Platinum Production Falls by 7%

South Africa has experienced a 7% decline in platinum production in 2024, due to operational disruptions and labor strikes at major mining operations. Despite this decrease, South Africa remains a leading producer of platinum, accounting for about 70% of the world’s supply. Efforts are underway to resolve these issues and stabilize production.
